A 30,000m3/day Water Treatment Plant going to be inaugurated by BIWASE
On the coming December 20th, 2014, Binh Duong Water Supply Sewerage Environment Co., Ltd (BIWASE) is going to inaugurate and put into operation a new water treatment pant with capacity of 30,000m3/day, supplying clean water to My Phuoc Urban and Industrial Park under Viet Nam Urban Water Supply and Waste Water Treatment project funded by the World Bank (WB). The water treatment plant is located inside yard of Complex Water Supply Enterprise which is under BIWASE and it is installed with a modern water treatment system and SCADA system for automatic control.
The My Phuoc Urban and Industrial Park Water Supply sub-project has a total investment cost about 480 billion VND, in which 85% is funded by the WB, service scope is My Phuoc 3 urban and industrial park. Purpose of the project is to increase rate of water supplied, quality and realibility of water system in the project area, meeting water demand up to 2020 and contributing in fostering regional development.
In the year 2014, by making many efforts to overcome some certain difficulties, BIWASE have taken into use 2 new water treatment plants with total increased capacity of 80,000m3/day and total capacity of water supply system is now 300,000m3/day.
