(BDO) On June 06th early morning, a Ground Breaking Ceremony to construct a sewage treatment plant and main trunk sewer for Di An Town, under Urban Water Supply and Wastewater Project, Binh Duong province subproject, was held at Tan Dong Hiep ward, Di An town by Binh Duong PPC. The project’s employer is Binh Duong PPC and South Thu Dau Mot Water Supply PMU is the managing unit. Attending the ceremony were Mr. Tran Thanh Liem, Vice Chairman of the PPC, representative of the World Bank (WB) together with relevant local authorities.

Urban Water Supply and Wastewater Project, Binh Duong province subproject with total investment cost is 115 Mil.USD, equivalent to 2,500 Bil.VND, in which, 92 Mil. USD, equivalent to 1,500 Bil. VND, is financed by the World Bank. About 23 Mil. USD shall be located by Binh Duong PPC in compliance with its plan. Construction No.5 Joint Stock company is the Contractor implementing construction of sewage treatment plant on 6.8ha and main trunk sewer.Capacity of phase I is 20,000m3/day collecting wastewater from 5 wards of Di An. When the project is finished, it is going to collect rain water from Binh An ward and domestic wastewater from 4 warsd: Di An, Tan Dong Hiep, Dong Hoa and An Binh with more than 4,000 residents receiving benefits from this project .

Addressing at the ceremony, the leader of Di An’s PC committed on enabling all good conditions for the Employer-Binh Duong Water-Environment Joint Stock Company-to carry out the project as its plan. Representative of the Employer also committed that he will manage and force the Contractor as well as other related units to implement the project safely, in according to design, assuring on quality and in compliance with its progress in order to put the works into operation in late 2018.
