Handing over Ceremony of The first waste water treatment plant in Binh Duong
On November 22nd, 2013, a handing over and taking into use ceremony of works “ Collection network, lifting pumping stations and waste water treatment plant” (under the Southern Binh Duong province water environment improvement project funded by Japanese Government) was held at Thu Dau Mot waste water treatment plant located in Hamlet 6, Phu Tho ward, Thu Dau Mot city, Binh Duong province.

Participants attending the ceremony consist of Mr. Nguyen Van Thien-General Director of Binh Duong Water Supply Sewerage Environment Co., Ltd (the Employer), Mr. Le Van Gon-Deputy Director of the PMU, Mr. Hajime Sakurai – Project Director from Nihon Suido Consultants (NSC) together with his colleagues from joint venture of consultants Grontmij, ICC, WASE (consultant of design and supervisor)); Mr. Ki Young Kim-representative of Kolon Global Corp (main contractor), Mr. Pham Van Tu- General Director of No.5 Construction Joint Stock Company (sub-contractor) and managemnet board of Thu Dau Mot Waste Water Treatment Plant.
The works includes (1) collection and transmission main with total length of 170km (D160-1200mm); (2) waste water treatment plant with capacity of 17,650m3/day and (3) 11 lifting pumping stations located along with pipelines to transmit waste water to the treatment plant.
The completed works is going to contribute to protecting water quality of Sai Gon river, improving urban infrastructure and living conditions of residents in areas of Hiep Thanh, Phu Hoa, Phu Loi, Phu Tho, Phu Cuong and Chanh Nghia wards.
