On morning of June 20th, 2017, following a programe from June 19th to 30th, 2017, an ADB mission (Asian Development Bank) had a working section with leaders of Binh Duong Water-Environment Joint Stock Company- one of five provinces under a water supply project Loan (including Binh Duong, Dak Lak, Hue, Da Nang and Hai Phong) to evaluate Loan implementing progress financed by the Bank.

Madame Nguyen Thi Thu Van-BIWASE’s Deputy General Director – PMU’s representative –and some other PMU’s officers warmly welcomed Mr. Paul Van Klaveren-Urban Development Senior Expert- Project Director-and his accompanies.Mission’s purpose is to check implementing progress of packages under South Thu Dau Mot Expension Water Supply Project using ADB Loan with an amount of 39,900,000USD among project’s total value of 46,900,000USD (the resting amount from local budget). Loan amount is used for construction of transmission mains and supervision consultant service package. Beside that, the mission also wanted to know about contract signing situation under the project, reimbursement plan in the second half of the year and some remaining issues requiring supports from ADB.
At the meeting, on behalf of the mission, Mr. Paul Van Klaveren highly appreciated efforts made by BIWASE PMU’s officers during the last time to follow package’s progress and comply with the Loan requirements. The completed project will contribute in expansion of network in Di An and Thuan An towns, Binh Duong province.
After the meeting, the ADB mission made a site visit to know more about the actual construction situation of the project.
