To review history of foundation and development of Company and share experience for new developing stage, on January 16th, 20016, Binh Duong Water Supply Sewerage Environment Co., Ltd (BIWASE) held a discussion on “BIWASE from its origins to the present day” at Di An Water Supply Enterprise. There were former managers, laborers working through past and present time attending the discussion.

Mr. Do Van Cha-85 years old- former Manager of Water Supply Enterprise- original BIWASE-review history of BIWASE. According to him, from May 2nd, 1975, a revolutionary officer took over the enterprise and he allowed changing its name as Thu Dau Mot Water Supply Enterprise with some wells to provide underground water with capacity less than 100m3/day. The enterprise took its functions in a very difficult condition due to shortage of material for replacement, old and broken equipment ect…..Pinnacle of difficulty is before 1990, Thu Dau Mot residents were in scarce water source for daily activities, they had to wait for the enterprise’s water tank to share every water bucket or can together. Though that time with lots of difficulties, the laborers always worked with a spirit of “ Finish all work, not finish on time; work in night-off in day time due to cut-off power”

After 1990, from ODA loan of DANIDA sponsor -Danish Government, Binh Duong Water Supply Sewerage Environment Co., Ltd- made strong investment and built new pipe lines to serve for domestic and production requirements from VSIP industrial park. By saving loan, accumulating experience, non-stop seeking for new technology, the company step-by-step becomes bigger and more sustainable. Until now, clean water provided by BIWASE not only reaches through the province but also to some adjacent areas of Ho Chi Minh city,Dong Nai and BinhPhuoc provinces. Sewerage collecting and treating system managed by BIWASE has been step by step developed, ensuring for people’s health and the environment; waste is collected and treated by a closed process. BIWASE has now progressed to self-make mechanical devices in order to step by step replace imported material and equipment.
