TTĐT –On Nov.05th afternoon, Vice Chairman of PPC-Mr. Tran ThanhLiem- hosted Mr. ArturAndrysiak–Director of Strategy and Policy Department of Asian Development Bank (ADB) to study on effectiveness from official development assistance of ADB given to Binh Duong.

At the meeting, Mr. Duong Hoang Son-Vice Director of Binh Duong Water Supply Sewerage Environment Co., Ltd (BIEASE) had a general introduction on some important water supply works in the province which funded by ADB’ODA, such as Di An water supply Plant. This works have met demand on clean water serving for daily activities, urban development and industry in Di An, ThuanAn towns and Thu Dau Mot city. From ADB fund, the beneficiary selected advance technology which is suitable with local conditions. Through this selection, it has been contributing in quality assurance, stabling water tariff and water service.

Vice Chairman of the PPC-Mr. Tran ThanhLiem-emphasized that project’s target using ODA loan is to serve residents’ requirements. Being a province with rapid economic and urban development, together with this, population highly increases every year, Binh Duong really needs fund to support for its development, especially in education, medical care, water supply, and environmental treatment fields. For these reasons, the provincial leaders really expect to continue receiving finance from ADB so that Binh Duong can invest in constructing infrastructure to better serve for residents’ living conditions.

After making a survey at Di An Water Treatment Plant, Mr. ArturAndrysiak said that management and operation of BIWASE during the last time really made deep impression to him. He also felt happy with practical effectiveness from ODA loan bringing to Binh Duong province. Proposal from the provincial leader will be reported to ADB’s managers so that ADB can continue supporting Binh Duong in the next time.
