In the afternoon of January 16th, 2015, at Binh Duong Water Supply Sewerage Environment Co., Ltd (BIWASE), Mr. Nguyen Van Thien-General Director of BIWASE-hosted and worked with a mission from Kobe (Japan) leaded by Mr. Tetsuo Hamaguchi-Director of Bureau of Support for Infrastructure Maintenance-Kobe Housing & Urban Development Corporation. There were some representatives from Kobelco company, which are functioning in water supply and waste water treatment sectors in Japan, joining with the mission.

Purpose of the Mission to BIWASE is to study on waste water collecting system operated and managed by BIWASE, concurrently, the Mission would like to exchange experience on managing, making connection into the waste water collecting system in Binh Duong province.

Hence at the meeting, Mr. Tetsuo Hamaguchi introduced to BIWASE with a domestic waste water collecting system being applied in Kobe city. According to his introduction, such a system is similar to the one in Thu Dau Mot city-Binh Duong- that is an independent waste water collecting system, quite seperated with a drain system. Each household are connected by a private connection box which is easy for implementation and repair. Strong point of the system is low repair and maitenance costs. Beside that, the two parties also changed experience on how to solve difficulties, problems happening within implementing and operating period of the system. The Mission also highly appriciated management and operation ability as well as developing potential of BIWASE in the coming time.

At the end of the meeting, Mr. Tetsuo Hamaguchi -on behalf of the Mission –thanked for a warm welcome from BIWASE’s leader and he also expected that he would have more cooperative opportunities with BIWASE in waste water treatment field in particular as well as other fields in general.
