On morning November 26th, 2013, leader of Binh Duong Water Supply Sewerage Environment Co., Ltd respectfully received Mr. Ahmad Shanizam Ab Ghani-Malaysia Trade Commissioner in Ho Chi Minh city- and his colleague to come and find cooperation opportunities between Malaysia businesses and BIWASE in the future.

Cooperation relation between Viet Nam and Malaysia has achieved many good results on trade development in recent years. Especially, it is the first time Viet Nam reached trade surplus of wooden and clothing products exported to Malaysia in 2012. It is reported that there are 400 projects from Malaysia implemented in Viet Nam up to 2013, increasing total investment cost of Malaysia in Viet Nam market to over 10 billion USD. In which, Binh Duong is the third province in ranking, below Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh city, to attract investment cost from Malaysia.

With target to more strengthen trading cooperations for Malaysia businesses functioning in Viet Nam, especially in Binh Duong-a dynamic province, Mr. Ahmad also informed that a working visit of Malaysia Businesses to potential Vietnamese companies is going to be held in early December, 2013, by Consulate General of Malaysia, relating to some sectors, such as water supply, waste water treatment, energy regeneration and transfer of automatic technology. On this accation, the Trade Commissioner also expressed Malaysia businesses’ expectation to cooperate with BIWASE in the sectors mentioned above by various cooperations and flexible funding sources.

At this working visit, Mr. Nguyen Van Thien- General Director of BIWASE- highly appreciated supports from Malaysia to Binh Duong during the last time and he also presented that BIWASE is willing to cooperate with Malaysia investors in some fields in which BIWASE in charge, in case a suitable cooperation for both parties is found.
